Great news! The students listened to their first podcast today. Here’s the link, in case you’d like to know more about it. This week, we will focus mainly on the word “pomme” when discussing new vocabulary. Division 9 students are learning a lot of new words these days. Make sure to talk about it at home!
It was so nice to see everyone looking refreshed and happy this morning. For the first time since the beginning of the school year, I was able to sit down next to a few students and help for more than one minute. Everyone is becoming more and more independent, it is a joy to see!
Last week’s home challenge was to help set and clear the table before and after dinner time. I am pleased to report that every night, there were about 18 students making this happen.
In preparation for our goal setting conferences coming soon, this week’s challenge is to plan ahead and make a homework schedule (and try to stick to is as much as possible). I’ve created a template, in case the one you have at home is a bit messy. Feel free to let your child know of this.
And last but not least, thanks for sending your child to school. In the next few days, I would like to start assessing students’ reading. When students are missing school, preparing for report cards is very hard to do.
