Here’s what we’ve planned on doing for Halloween day.
-Roots of Empathy lesson (without Baby Ainsley)
-In class dance party (with games & music videos). Students will have a chance to parade in their costumes, should they wish to dress up for the day (or the afternoon only)
Many students wanted to know if they had to wear a costume. Please note that wearing a costume is not mandatory. There is nothing wrong with dressing up as yourself!
Since there are little kids around, no blood, no weapons and no masks.
I will bake mini cupcakes for the students. Do not sent any sweets to school as I’m sure they’ll eat plenty of that during the evening.
In case you wanted to send something to eat, here’s the sign up sheet I plan on having tomorrow in class. If thirsty, students can drink water. No juice, please.
-apples (4 students max can bring two apples each)**
-grapes (2 students max can bring one small handful of grapes)**
-oranges (3 students max can bring 2 oranges each)**
-watermelon (2 students max can bring one half watermelon – keep the other half for yourself!)**
-strawberries (3 students max can bring a small container of strawberries)**
-cantaloup (2 students max can bring one half watermelon – keep the other half for yourself!)**
-other fruit suggestion?
**Please make sure to wash and cut all fruit before sending it to school.
